वैदेह्या वचनं श्रुत्वा करुणं साश्रुभाषितम्।अथाब्रवीन्महातेजा हनुमान्मारुतात्मजः।।5.38.49।।

Transliteration

vaidehyā vacanaṃ śrutvā karuṇaṃ sāśru-bhāṣitam | athābravīn mahātejā hanumān mārutātmajaḥ ||5.38.49||

Translation

Hearing Vaidehī’s compassionate words, spoken through tears, Hanumān—the radiant son of the Wind—then replied.

Hearing the piteous words of Vaidehi and beholding her eyes filled with tears, the Wind-god's son, lustrous Hanuman replied thus:.
