हनूमत्सीतासंवादः — Hanuman’s Offer of Rescue and Sita’s Dharmic Refusal
सलक्ष्मणं राघवमाजिमर्दनं दिशागजं मत्तमिव व्यवस्थितम्।सहेत को वानरमुख्य संयुगे युगान्तसूर्यप्रतिमं शरार्चिषम्।।।।
salakṣmaṇaṁ rāghavam ājimardanaṁ diśāgajaṁ mattam iva vyavasthitam |
saheta ko vānaramukhya saṁyuge yugāntasūryapratimaṁ śarārciṣam ||
O chief of the Vānaras—who in battle could endure Rāghava, with Lakṣmaṇa beside him: the crusher of foes, standing firm like a rut-maddened quarter-elephant, whose arrow-flashes resemble the sun at the world’s end?
"O chief of vanaras! who can withstand Rama accompanied by Lakshmana, the conqueror of enemies? His arrows resemble the rays of the Sun at the time of the deluge, steady like the elephants who support the quarters of the earth.
Confidence in dharma-protected strength: Sītā affirms that righteous power (Rāma’s) is ultimately irresistible, implying that adharma cannot stand before dharmic resolve.
In Aśoka-vana, Sītā speaks to Hanumān, emphasizing Rāma’s invincibility and urging decisive action for her rescue.
Rāma’s vīrya and steadfastness (dhairya): he is portrayed as firm, overwhelming in battle, and supported by Lakṣmaṇa.
