हनूमत्सीतासंवादः — Hanuman’s Offer of Rescue and Sita’s Dharmic Refusal
स मे हरिश्रेष्ठ सलक्ष्मणं पतिं सयूथपं क्षिप्रमिहोपपादय।चिराय रामं प्रति शोककर्शितां कुरुष्व मां वानरमुख्य हर्षिताम्।।।।
sa me hariśreṣṭha salakṣmaṇaṁ patiṁ sayūthapaṁ kṣipram ihopapādaya |
cirāya rāmaṁ prati śokakarśitāṁ kuruṣva māṁ vānaramukhya harṣitām ||
Therefore, O best of Vānaras, bring my lord here quickly—Rāma with Lakṣmaṇa, together with the leader of the troops. O chief of Vānaras, make me happy—me who for so long have been wasted by sorrow for Rāma.
"O foremost of the vanaras! get Rama here along with Lakshmana and the lord of vanara troops quickly. O chief of vanaras! this way you can bring happiness to one like me who is emaciated with suffering on account of Rama.ইত্যার্ষে শ্রীমদ্রামাযণে বাল্মীকীয আদিকাব্যে সুন্দরকাণ্ডে সপ্তত্রিংশস্সর্গঃ৷৷Thus ends the thirtyseventh sarga of Sundarakanda of the holy Ramayana, the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.
Urgency in righteous duty: when dharma is obstructed (Sītā’s unlawful captivity), timely action by allies becomes a moral imperative.
Sītā requests Hanumān to swiftly bring Rāma and the Vānara forces, as she has suffered long in separation and captivity.
Sītā’s steadfast fidelity and truthfulness: her focus remains on Rāma alone, and she speaks plainly about her suffering and the needed course of action.
