रामलक्षणवर्णनम् (Description of Rama and Lakshmana; Alliance Narrative to Sita)
एतत्ते सर्वमाख्यातं यथावृत्तमनन्दिते।अभिभाषस्व मां देवि दूतो दाशरथेरहम्।।।।
etat te sarvam ākhyātaṃ yathāvṛttam anindite |
abhibhāṣasva māṃ devi dūto dāśarather aham ||
O blameless lady, I have told you everything exactly as it happened. Now speak to me, O queen—for I am the messenger of Daśaratha’s son.
"O sinless lady! I have given you a faithful account. I am a messenger of Dasaratha's son. And you may speak now, O divine lady!
Dūta-dharma grounded in satya: a messenger must convey events faithfully and identify his authority/source clearly to establish legitimate trust.
After narrating his actions, Hanumān formally declares himself Rāma’s envoy and invites Sītā to respond.
