लङ्का चापि मया रात्रौ प्रविष्टा राक्षसाकुला।रावणश्च मया दृष्टस्त्वं च शोकपरिप्लुता।।।।

Transliteration

laṅkā cāpi mayā rātrau praviṣṭā rākṣasākulā |

rāvaṇaś ca mayā dṛṣṭas tvaṃ ca śokapariplutā ||

Translation

And by night I entered Laṅkā, teeming with rākṣasas; I saw Rāvaṇa, and I also saw you, overwhelmed by sorrow.
