रामलक्षणवर्णनम् (Description of Rama and Lakshmana; Alliance Narrative to Sita)
ततस्तौ प्रीतिसम्पन्नौ हरीश्वरनरेश्वरौ।परस्परकृताश्वासौ कथया पूर्ववृत्तया।।5.35.33।।
tatas tau prītisampannau harīśvaranareśvarau |
parasparakṛtāśvāsau kathayā pūrvavṛttayā ||5.35.33||
Then the two kings—lord of the Vānaras and lord of men—filled with affection, reassured one another by recounting their former histories.
Dharma is strengthened through truthful self-disclosure and mutual reassurance; alliances rooted in honest sharing become instruments for restoring justice.
Rāma and Sugrīva, now friendly, exchange their past stories and comfort each other, laying the groundwork for their pact.
Trust-building and empathy: both leaders listen, share, and support one another in adversity.
