हनूमत्सीतासंवादः (Hanumān–Sītā Dialogue and Identity Verification)
वसतो दण्डकारण्ये तस्याहममितौजसः।।।।रक्षसाऽपहृता भार्या रावणेन दुरात्मना।
vasato daṇḍakāraṇye tasyāham amitaujasaḥ | rakṣasā 'pahṛtā bhāryā rāvaṇena durātmanā ||
While that one of immeasurable might was dwelling in the Daṇḍaka forest, I—his wife—was abducted by the rākṣasa, the evil-minded Rāvaṇa.
"While the most valiant Rama was living in the Dandaka forest, I, his wife was borne away by the evil-minded Ravana.
The verse contrasts dharma and adharma: Sītā truthfully states the wrongdoing—abduction—marking it as a grave violation of righteousness and a woman’s dignity.
