हनूमत्सीतासंवादः (Hanumān–Sītā Dialogue and Identity Verification)
प्रागेव तु महाभागस्सौमित्रिर्मित्रनन्दनः।।5.33.28।।पूर्वजस्यानुयात्रार्थे द्रुमचीरैरलङ्कृतः।
prāg eva tu mahābhāgaḥ saumitrir mitranandanaḥ | pūrvajasyānuyātrārthe drumacīrair alaṅkṛtaḥ ||
And even before that, the noble Saumitri—delight of his friends—adorned in bark garments, prepared to follow his elder brother on the journey.
It emphasizes brotherly duty (bhrātṛ-dharma) expressed through service and solidarity—Lakṣmaṇa’s readiness to share exile shows dharma as loyal accompaniment in hardship.
Sītā narrates the departure for forest exile: Lakṣmaṇa had already equipped himself in bark garments to follow Rāma.
Sevā (devoted service) and fraternal loyalty—Lakṣmaṇa’s willingness to renounce comfort to uphold Rāma’s path.
