त्रिजटास्वप्नवर्णनम् (Trijata’s Dream-Omens and the Rakshasis’ Reversal)
ईषच्छ हृषितो वास्या दक्षिणाया ह्यदक्षिणः।।5.27.49।।अकस्मादेव वैदेह्या बाहुरेकः प्रकम्पते।
īṣac ca hṛṣito vāsyā dakṣiṇāyā hy adakṣiṇaḥ | akasmād eva vaidehyā bāhur ekaḥ prakampate ||5.27.49||
As if slightly gladdened, Vaidehī’s left arm—though she is a lady of auspicious fortune—suddenly began to tremble.
"The left shoulder of this great Vaidehi has started suddenly throbbing, indicating that she is feeling a bit happy.
Dharma is reinforced through omen-language that anticipates relief for the righteous: bodily signs are interpreted as nature’s assent to satya and imminent restoration.
The rākṣasīs observe another physical portent—trembling of Sītā’s arm—and read it as indicating a shift toward happiness and approaching change.
Endurance (kṣānti) under suffering, now turning toward hope—Sītā’s steadfastness is assumed even as signs predict better fortune.
