रावणान्तःपुर-पानभूमि-विचयः (Hanumān’s Survey of Rāvaṇa’s Inner Palace and Banquet Hall)
अङ्गनानां सहस्रेण भूषितेन विभूषणैः।।5.11.6।।रूपसल्लापशीलेन युक्तगीतार्थभाषिणा।देशकालाभियुक्तेन युक्तवाक्याभिधायिना।।5.11.7।।रताभिरतसंसुप्तं ददर्श हरियूथपः।
sa bhūyas tu paraṃ śrīmān mārutir yatnam āsthitaḥ || 5.11.47 ||
āpānabhūmim utsṛjya tad vicetuṃ pracakrame |
Then the illustrious son of Marut, renewing his effort, left the drinking-hall and set forth to continue the search.
The monkey leader saw thousands of beautiful women asleep after long dalliance. Some of them were adorned with ornaments, some were good at arguments and versed in the appreciation of songs, some were aware of the appropriate time and place and some were adept in right expressions.
Dharma as steadfast duty: after reflection, Hanuman recommits to purposeful action—leaving distraction behind to pursue the truthful objective of finding Sita.
Hanuman departs from the banquet/drinking area and resumes an active search elsewhere within the palace complex.
Perseverance (utsāha) and disciplined action (kriyā-niṣṭhā).
