Worn out by intoxication and exertion, the demon-king’s women—slender-waisted—had fallen asleep here and there in various places.
Exhausted by drinking and indulging in amorous sport, the consorts of Ravana slept here and there with their visible slender waists.
The scene illustrates the ethical cost of indulgence without restraint: lack of self-governance weakens awareness and dignity, whereas dharma emphasizes moderation and clarity.
Hanumān sees the aftermath of revelry in the palace: women asleep in scattered places, exhausted.
Hanumān’s moral steadiness—he remains uncorrupted by the environment and continues his truthful search.
