With four golden lamps blazing, the chamber shone in all four directions; his whole body was lit up, like a cloud illuminated by clusters of lightning.

Hanuman saw an umbrella in one spot decorated with the best of garlands. The white umbrella looked like the Moon, lord of stars.

Dharma is reinforced through truthful witnessing (satya-dṛṣṭi): the narration records the scene precisely, supporting Hanumān’s later accurate reporting and right action based on verified knowledge.

Hanumān observes the illuminated royal sleeping quarters, where lamplight makes Rāvaṇa’s form clearly visible.

Accuracy and attentiveness—Hanumān’s capacity to perceive details in hostile territory without losing composure.
