समुद्रलङ्घनारम्भः — Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing
तथा मया विधातव्यं विश्रमेत यथा कपिः।।।।शेषं च मयि विश्रान्तः सुखेनातिपतिष्यति।
tathā mayā vidhātavyaṃ viśrameta yathā kapiḥ | śeṣaṃ ca mayi viśrāntaḥ sukhena atipatiṣyati ||
I must arrange it so that the monkey may rest; and once he has rested upon me, he will cross the remaining distance with ease.
'I will have to make arrangements for his rest. Later he can resume his journey comfortably'.
Sevā and atithi-dharma: the Ocean feels responsible to support a righteous envoy (Hanumān) by providing rest so his mission succeeds.
As Hanumān flies over the ocean toward Laṅkā, the Sea-god considers how to help him by ensuring he can rest and then continue safely.
Benevolent responsibility: Samudra shows mindful care and proactive assistance toward a dharmic undertaking.
