हनूमद्बलप्रबोधनम् / Jāmbavān Rekindles Hanūmān’s Power
स इदानीमहं वृद्धः परिहीनपराक्रमः।साम्प्रतं कालमस्माकं भवान्सर्वगुणान्वितः।।।।
pakṣayōr yad balaṃ tasya tāvad bhujabalaṃ tava |
vikramaś cāpi vēgaś ca na te tēnāvahīyate ||
The strength he bears in his wings, you bear in your arms and shoulders; and in valor and speed you are not inferior to him at all.
'I have become old and my valour is depleted. At this time you are the sole resort for us. You have all the necessary qualities.
Dharma requires recognizing and using one’s rightful capacity for a noble cause; denying one’s ability can become a form of neglect when others depend on it.
Jāmbavān directly assures Hanumān that his strength, speed, and valor match the standard of Garuḍa, preparing him mentally for the ocean-leap.
