हनूमद्बलप्रबोधनम् / Jāmbavān Rekindles Hanūmān’s Power
स त्वं केसरिणः पुत्रः क्षेत्रजो भीमविक्रमः।।।।मारुतस्यौरसः पुत्रस्तेजसा चापि तत्समः।त्वं हि वायुसुतो वत्स प्लवने चापि तत्समः।।।।
sa tvaṃ kesariṇaḥ putraḥ kṣetrajo bhīmavikramaḥ | mārutasyaurasaḥ putras tejasā cāpi tatsamaḥ | tvaṃ hi vāyusuto vatsa plavane cāpi tatsamaḥ ||
You are Kesarin’s son, born with fearsome prowess, and also the true son of Māruta. In brilliance you are his equal; yes, dear one, as Vāyu’s son you are equal to him even in flight.
'You are a son of Kesari endowed with terrific strength and a lawful son of Maruta also. You are, therefore, equal to the very Wind-god in flying and in brilliance.
Knowing one’s true nature and gifts is part of dharma: identity is recalled not for pride, but to awaken responsibility to act for a righteous cause.
Hanumān is reminded of his divine-human lineage and innate powers to restore his confidence for the mission.
Vīrya (heroic capability) guided by satya—strength grounded in a truthful understanding of oneself.
