Shloka 4.62.10
संपाति-उपदेशः / Sampati Instructed and the Search Mission Foretold
यदि जीवति मे भर्ता लक्ष्मणेन सह प्रभुः।देवत्वं गच्छ्तो र्वापि तयो रन्नमिदंत्विति4.62.10।।
yadi jīvati me bhartā lakṣmaṇena saha prabhuḥ |
devatvaṃ gacchato rvāpi tayoḥ annam idaṃ tv iti ||
“If my lord and husband is alive together with Lakṣmaṇa—or even if they have gone to the state of the gods—may this food be for them to partake.” Thus will Sītā speak.
'If my husband and Lakshmana are living or else even if they have attained heaven let this food be enjoyed by them', Sita will say.
Dharma is shown as unwavering fidelity and benevolence: Sītā’s concern for Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa persists whether they live on earth or have attained heaven.
The sage foretells how Sītā will express her prayerful intent—directing an offering toward Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa amid uncertainty.
Sītā’s steadfast love and truth-oriented hope: she speaks without bitterness, anchoring herself in devotion and righteousness.
