स्वयंप्रभा-संवादः (Svayamprabha’s Dialogue with the Vanaras)
गच्छाम प्रविशामेति भर्तृकार्यत्वरान्विताः।ततो गाढं निपतिता गृह्य हस्तौ परस्परम्।।।।
gacchāma praviśāmeti bhartṛkāryatvarānvitāḥ | tato gāḍhaṃ nipatitā gṛhya hastau parasparam ||
“Let us go, let us enter,” we said—driven by haste to accomplish our lord’s task. Then we plunged in, tightly holding one another’s hands.
'We said, 'let us enter', since we were in a hurry to carry out our king's orders.Then we jumped in, holding one another's hand.
Dharma is framed as faithful service to entrusted duty (bhartṛkārya) combined with mutual support—acting together to uphold responsibility.
The monkeys, eager to complete their king’s mission, decide to enter the cave and do so in a coordinated way by holding hands.
Loyalty to duty and solidarity within the group.
