ऋक्षबिलप्रवेशः — Entry into the Rikshabilam Cave
तत्र तत्र विचिन्वन्तो बिले तस्मिन्महाबलाः।।।।ददृशुर्वानराश्शूराः स्त्रियं काञ्चिददूरतः।
paraspareṇa hanumā nanyonyasyāvidūrataḥ | gajo gavākṣo gavayaḥ śarabho gandhamādanaḥ || maindaś ca dvividaś caiva suṣeṇo jāmbavān nalaḥ | aṅgado yuvarājaś ca tāraś ca vanagocaraḥ || girijālāvṛtān deśān mārgitvā dakṣiṇāṃ diśam | vicinvantas tataḥ tatra dadṛśur vivṛtaṃ bilam || durgam ṛkṣabilaṃ nāma dānavenābhirakṣitam ||
Keeping close together—Hanumān not far from the others—Gaja, Gavākṣa, Gavaya, Śarabha, Gandhamādana, Mainda, Dvivida, Suṣeṇa, Jāmbavān, Nala, Aṅgada the heir-apparent, and Tārā the forest-roamer searched southward through lands hemmed in by a web of mountains. As they explored, they saw an open cave-mouth: the formidable cavern called Ṛkṣabila, guarded by a dānava.
While searching here and there in the cave, the strong and powerful monkeys discovered a woman not far from there.
Dharma is expressed as coordinated responsibility: the search is a collective vow, carried out with discipline (staying close) and courage (entering a demon-guarded region) for a righteous cause.
Sugrīva’s southern search team advances through mountainous terrain and discovers the entrance to a dangerous cave named Ṛkṣabila, guarded by a demon.
Teamwork and resolve—leaders and companions proceed together, maintaining unity in a perilous mission.
