Then Hanumān—foremost among the monkeys—delighted at heart, offered Lakṣmaṇa a richly blossoming branch of a sandalwood tree.
Then Hanuman, the bull among monkeys, felt very happy, cut the branch of a sandalwood tree full of flowers and gave it to Lakshmana.
Sevā and respectful assistance: Hanumān expresses dharma through attentive service and goodwill toward Lakṣmaṇa, strengthening righteous alliance.
As Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa engage with Sugrīva’s side, Hanumān joyfully presents a blossoming sandalwood branch to Lakṣmaṇa as a gesture of welcome and support.
Hanumān’s devotion and helpfulness—his readiness to serve with humility and warmth.
