Shloka 4.49.1

एकोनपञ्चाशः सर्गः (Sarga 49) — Aṅgada Re-energizes the Southern Search Party

अथाङ्गदस्तदा सर्वान्वानरानिदमब्रवीत्।परिश्रान्तो महाप्राज्ञस्समाश्वास्य शनैर्वचः।।।।

athāṅgadas tadā sarvān vānarān idam abravīt |

pariśrānto mahāprājñaḥ samāśvāsya śanair vacaḥ ||

Then Angada—wise though exhausted—gathered all the Vānaras, reassured them, and spoke these words gently and slowly.

Wise Angada, exhausted after the search, collected the monkeys, and consoling them, said slowly:

Dharma in leadership includes caring speech: even in fatigue, a leader strengthens others through reassurance and clarity.

After prolonged searching and hardship, Angada addresses the weary Vānaras to steady and guide them.

Compassionate leadership and composure under exhaustion.
