सुग्रीवस्य शतवलि-प्रेषणम् (Sugriva’s Commission to Satavali for the Northern Search)

समतिक्रम्य तं देशमुत्तरः पयसां निधिः।तत्र सोमगिरिर्नाम मध्ये हेममयो महान्।।।।

Transliteration

samatikramya taṃ deśam uttaraḥ payasāṃ nidhiḥ |

tatra somagirir nāma madhye hemamayo mahān ||

Translation

Having crossed that region, you will reach the northern ocean, the treasury of waters; and there, in its midst, stands the great golden mountain named Somagiri.
