Shloka 4.43.52

सुग्रीवस्य शतवलि-प्रेषणम् (Sugriva’s Commission to Satavali for the Northern Search)

सर्वे सुकृतकर्माण स्सर्वे रतिपरायणाः।सर्वे कामार्थसहिता वसन्ति सहयोषितः।।।।

sarve sukṛtakarmāṇaḥ sarve ratiparāyaṇāḥ |

sarve kāmārthasahitā vasanti sahayoṣitaḥ ||

There all are doers of meritorious deeds; all are devoted to delight; and all dwell amid desire’s enjoyments and prosperity, together with their women companions.

'By virtue of their meritorious deeds (done in the previous birth) they live a luxurious life of riches and sensual pleasures with their female partners.

Merit (sukṛta) may yield enjoyment, but dharma demands discernment: pleasure and prosperity are secondary to righteous obligation, especially a vow-bound mission.

Sugrīva describes the nature of inhabitants in a northern blessed realm, characterizing their karmic merit and luxurious life.

Viveka (discernment): knowing what to pursue and what to set aside while serving a higher duty.
