सुग्रीवस्य शतवलि-प्रेषणम् (Sugriva’s Commission to Satavali for the Northern Search)
तं तु शीघ्रमतिक्रम्य कान्तारं रोमहर्षणम्।कैलासं पाण्डुरं शैलं प्राप्य हृष्टा भविष्यथ।।।।
taṃ tu śīghram atikramya kāntāraṃ roma-harṣaṇam |
kailāsaṃ pāṇḍuraṃ śailaṃ prāpya hṛṣṭā bhaviṣyatha ||4.43.21||
But once you swiftly cross that hair-raising wilderness, you will rejoice upon reaching the pale-white mountain Kailāsa.
'Crossing that horripilating, desolate place quickly, you will be happy to reach the snowy Kailasa mountain.
Dharma is sustained effort supported by hope: righteous work often demands crossing fearsome hardship before reaching clarity and success.
Sugrīva encourages the searchers: after a terrifying wilderness, they will arrive at Kailāsa, a notable and uplifting landmark.
Courage joined with optimism—pressing forward quickly through danger, trusting that perseverance yields progress.
