Shloka 4.41.34

दक्षिणदिशि सीतान्वेषण-आदेशः (Commissioning the Southern Search for Sītā)

तत्र भुक्त्वा वरार्हाणि मूलानि च फलानि च।।।।मधूनि पीत्वा मुख्यानि परं गच्छत वानराः।

tatra bhuktvā varārhāṇi mūlāni ca phalāni ca || 4.41.34 ||

madhūni pītvā mukhyāni paraṃ gacchata vānarāḥ |

There, eat the choicest roots and fruits, drink the finest honey, and then proceed onward, O vānaras.

'O monkeys! eat your cherlshed roots and fruits and drink the best of honey there and proceed further.

Dharma includes sustaining the body for rightful work: nourishment is not indulgence when it enables continued service to a just mission.

Sugrīva instructs the searchers to refresh themselves at Vaidyuta and then continue their southward search.

Prudence: the party is taught to manage resources and strength so the larger duty is not compromised.
