पूर्वदिशि सीतामार्गण-नियोगः (Deployment to the Eastern Quarter for the Search of Sita)
पूर्वस्यां दिशि निर्माणं कृतं तत् त्रिदशेश्वरैः।।4.40.53।।ततः परं हेममय श्श्रीमानुदयपर्वतः।तस्य कोटिर्दिवं स्पृष्ट्वा शतयोजनमायता।।4.40.54।।जातरूपमयी दिव्या विराजति सवेदिका।
sālaiḥ tālaiḥ tamālaiś ca karṇikāraiś ca puṣpitaiḥ | jātarūpamayair divyaiḥ śobhate sūryasannibhaiḥ ||
It is adorned with flowering sāla, tāla, tamāla, and karṇikāra trees—divine blossoms of golden hue, radiant like the sun.
'The flag of Ananta is fixed by the gods in the eastern direction. Beyond that stands the famous golden mountain behind which the sun rises. Its golden peak with a divine altar spread over a hundred yojanas touches heaven.
Dharma includes cultivation of right perception: beauty and radiance are presented as signs of an ordered world, encouraging disciplined travelers to stay attentive and composed.
