पूर्वदिशि सीतामार्गण-नियोगः (Deployment to the Eastern Quarter for the Search of Sita)

त्रिशिराः काञ्चनः केतुस्तालस्तस्य महात्मनः।।4.40.52।।स्थापितः पर्वतस्याग्रे विराजति सवेदिकः।

Transliteration

pūrvasyāṃ diśi nirmāṇaṃ kṛtaṃ tat tridaśeśvaraiḥ | tataḥ paraṃ hemamayaḥ śrīmān udayaparvataḥ | tasya koṭir divaṃ spṛṣṭvā śatayojanam āyatā | jātarūpamayī divyā virājati savedikā ||

Translation

In the eastern quarter, that arrangement was established by the lords of the gods. Beyond it rises the splendid golden Udaya Mountain; its summit, stretching a hundred yojanas, touches the sky, and upon it a divine golden altar gleams.
