ऋक्षराजो महातेजा जाम्बवान्नाम नामतः।कोटिभिर्दशभिः प्राप्तः सुग्रीवस्य वशे स्थितः।।4.39.27।।
ṛkṣa-rājo mahā-tejā jāmbavān nāma nāmataḥ |
koṭibhir daśabhiḥ prāptaḥ sugrīvasya vaśe sthitaḥ || 4.39.27 ||
Jāmbavān by name—the radiant king of bears—arrived with ten crores and stood under Sugrīva’s command.
Glorious Jambavan, king of bears, stood before Sugriva with ten thousand crore vanaras.
Orderly hierarchy in a righteous campaign—even powerful kings align under a commander for the sake of dharma and shared purpose.
Jāmbavān, king of bears, arrives with a vast force and accepts Sugrīva’s authority.
