शरत्प्रवेशे रामविलापः तथा सुग्रीवप्रमादे लक्ष्मणप्रेषणम् (Autumn’s Onset: Rama’s Lament and Lakshmana Sent to Sugriva)
विपक्वशालिप्रसवानि भुक्त्वाप्रहर्षिता सारसचारुपङ्क्तिः।नभस्समाक्रामति शीघ्रवेगाःवातावधूता ग्रथितेव माला।।
vipakvaśāliprasavāni bhuktvā praharṣitā sārasacārupaṅktiḥ |
nabhaḥ samākrāmati śīghravegā vātāvadhūtā grathiteva mālā ||
After feeding on the ripe ears of rice, the lovely lines of sārasas, delighted and swift, sweep across the sky—wind-driven, like a garland strung and flung aloft.
'Driven by the wind, the lovely sarasa birds, after eating ripened grains from paddy fields happily fly the sky in rows like a garland at great speed.
Dharma is ordered cooperation: the birds move in disciplined rows, suggesting that collective life flourishes through coordination, not chaos—an ethical ideal for society.
Autumn abundance is depicted: ripe fields feed birds, and the sky fills with their formations, enriching the seasonal panorama around Rama.
Saṅghabodha (sense of community): acting in a way that supports and harmonizes with others.
