Lakṣmaṇa, what you have spoken is exactly what ought to be spoken—words of one devoted and affectionate, a true well-wisher, and endowed with valour steadfast in truth.

'I will wait for autumn. I will stick to your advice while I wait until Sugriva and the rivers are pleased (with moderate flow of water.)

Dharma values truthful courage (satya-vikrama) joined with goodwill: advice should be both honest and benevolent, arising from devotion and care rather than self-interest.

Rāma responds to Lakṣmaṇa’s counsel, affirming that it is appropriate and comes from genuine loyalty and proven bravery.

Lakṣmaṇa’s loyal, truth-aligned courage; and Rāma’s discernment in recognizing and validating righteous advice.
