“O Saumitri, subduer of foes—this mountain cave is lovely, spacious, and well-aired. Here we shall dwell through the nights of the rainy season.”
'O Lakshmana! you have spoken the words of an affectionate and friendly counsellor of proven valour.
Dharma is expressed as restraint and strategic patience: choosing a suitable refuge and waiting for the proper season rather than acting rashly.
Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa, after allying with Sugrīva, decide to stay in a mountain cave during the monsoon when movement and warfare are difficult.
Rāma’s calm judgment and foresight—he balances urgency with practical timing and safety.
