ततस्ते वानरश्रेष्ठं यथाकालं यथाविधि।रत्नैर्वस्त्रैश्च भक्ष्यैश्च तोषयित्वा द्विजर्षभान्।।

Transliteration

tatas te vānaraśreṣṭhaṃ yathākālaṃ yathāvidhi |

ratnair vastraiś ca bhakṣyaiś ca toṣayitvā dvijarṣabhān॥

Translation

Then, O best of monkeys, at the proper time and in the proper manner, they satisfied the foremost of the twice-born—brahmins—with jewels, garments, and gifts of food.
