They brought fragrant garlands—both land-grown and water-born, including lotus—along with divine sandalwood and many perfumes of various kinds.
The monkeys brought a white canopy decorated with gold and two chamaras with glorious golden staff. They also brought jewels, all kinds of medicinal herbs, sprouts, sap from trees, white flowers and white clothes, unguents, garlands of fragrant lotuses that grow on land and water, heavently sandal, fragrants of different kinds, goldcoloured paddy, honey of priyanga, curds, tiger skin and sandals made of boar skin. Then sixteen beautiful, cheerful females appeared with unguent, gorochana mixed with red arsenic (used for putting tilaka on the forehead).
A righteous inauguration honors both inner virtue and outer propriety: auspicious offerings and purity-symbols reinforce that rule should be aligned with sacred order, not personal indulgence.
The vānaras continue collecting consecration materials for Sugrīva—garlands, sandalwood, and perfumes—typical of royal abhiṣeka rites.
Devotion expressed through service (sevā): the community’s thoughtful gathering of ritual requisites shows steadfast support for Sugrīva’s legitimate kingship.
