Shloka 4.22.11

वालिविलापः — Vali’s Final Counsel and the Succession Charge

एष तारात्मज श्रीमांस्त्वया तुल्यपराक्रमः।रक्षसां च वधे तेषामग्रतस्ते भविष्यति।।

eṣa tārātmajaḥ śrīmāṃs tvayā tulya-parākramaḥ | rakṣasāṃ ca vadhe teṣām agratas te bhaviṣyati ||

This fortunate son of Tārā, equal to you in valor, will stand at your front when it comes to the slaying of those rākṣasas.

'This prosperous son of Tara, your equal in valour, will remain with you in the forefront to crush demons.

Dharma of alliance and duty: the heir is not merely to be protected but also to be integrated into righteous struggle against adharma (rākṣasa violence).

Vāli assures Sugrīva that Angada will support him actively in future conflicts, especially against the rākṣasas.

Valor joined with loyalty: Angada is presented as courageous and dependable at the vanguard.
