तारोपदेशः — Tara’s Counsel to Vali on Sugriva’s Roar and Rama’s Alliance
पूर्वमेव मया वीर श्रुतं कथयतो वचः।अङ्गदस्य कुमारस्य वक्ष्यामित्वा हितं वचः।।
pūrvam eva mayā vīra śrutaṃ kathayato vacaḥ | aṅgadasya kumārasya vakṣyāmi tvā hitaṃ vacaḥ ||
O hero, I have already heard the report as it was recounted by our son, the prince Aṅgada. For your good, I will now tell you those words.
'O hero! I have heard the news earlier from our son Angada. I will tell you what he had heard and what he has said to me:
Dharma here is truthful, welfare-oriented counsel: speaking what one has reliably heard and offering it for the listener’s good rather than for blame or pride.
Tārā begins advising Vāli, stating that she has already heard Aṅgada’s report and will relay it as beneficial guidance.
Prudent counsel (nīti) grounded in truthfulness and concern for another’s welfare.
