पम्पा-तीर-वर्णनम् / Rama’s Lament at Pampa and the Approach to Rishyamuka

If only the virtuous Sītā could be seen—if only we could dwell here with her—O best of the Raghus, I would not yearn for Indra’s station, nor even for Ayodhyā.
'O Lakshmna, the best of the Raghu race, if only that chaste Sita appears, we will stay here. I will not wish for the position of Indra or for Ayodhya.
Dharma of marital fidelity and single-hearted devotion: Rāma values reunion with Sītā above power (Indra) or kingdom (Ayodhyā), showing truth-centered priorities.
In springtime Kishkindhā, Rāma’s longing peaks; he tells Lakṣmaṇa that even sovereignty is meaningless without Sītā.
Pativrata-bhāva in reverse (husband’s fidelity): unwavering commitment to one spouse and to the truth of that bond.
