पम्पा-तीर-वर्णनम् / Rama’s Lament at Pampa and the Approach to Rishyamuka
गिरिप्रस्थेषु रम्येषु पुष्पवद्भिर्मनोरमैः।संसक्तशिखराश्शैला विराजन्ते महाद्रुमैः।।।।
giriprasthēṣu ramyēṣu puṣpavadbhir manōramaiḥ | saṃsaktaśikharāḥ śailā virājantē mahādrumaiḥ ||
On these lovely mountain slopes, the mountains—whose peaks seem to meet—shine splendidly with great trees, delightful and laden with blossoms.
'The huge trees in the scenic mountain-ranges look delightful with their blossoms touching the peaks.
Dharma is aligned with recognizing true splendor without possessiveness: the world’s beauty is acknowledged as it is (satya), while one remains committed to rightful aims rather than being diverted.
Rama points out the mountain scenery—peaks and blossoming great trees—during their movement through the region.
Gratitude and clear perception: Rama can still see beauty truthfully even under the weight of separation.
