O lord, I find no satiety in hearing these wondrous accounts. Yet, O best of sages, the time for ritual duties has arrived—the sun’s disc is sinking.
O Lord! I am never tired of listening to your marvellous deeds. O Excellent among ascetics! the Sun has set and it is time for evening prayers.
Dharma balances inspiration with duty: even while delighting in sacred narratives, one must not neglect timely daily obligations (nitya-karma).
Janaka expresses eagerness to hear more but notes that evening is approaching and ritual duties must be performed.
Discipline and prioritization—Janaka models respect for time-bound religious responsibilities.
