Having come to this sacrificial hall, the assembled elders have heard of your many virtues. Beyond measure is your austerity, and beyond measure your power; immeasurable indeed are your virtues always, O son of Kuśika.
Many of your virtues have been heard by the members of the assembly present at the sacrifice. Your austerities are immeasurable, your power is immense. O Son of Kushika! (Viswamitra), your virtues cannot be measured.
Dharma includes giving due honour based on truth: Janaka publicly acknowledges the sage’s immeasurable tapas and strength, reinforcing respect for spiritual attainment.
Janaka, before the yajña-assembly, extols Viśvāmitra’s virtues as limitless, emphasizing communal recognition of holiness.
Janaka’s fairness and reverence—he elevates ascetic merit as a standard worthy of public acknowledgement.
