Shloka 1.65.36
विश्वामित्रस्य ब्राह्मर्षित्वप्राप्तिः — Viśvāmitra Attains Brahmarṣi Status
श्व: प्रभाते महातेजो द्रष्टुमर्हसि मां पुन:।।।।स्वागतं तपतां श्रेष्ठ मामनुज्ञातुमर्हसि।
śvaḥ prabhāte mahātejo draṣṭum arhasi māṃ punaḥ |
svāgataṃ tapatāṃ śreṣṭha mām anujñātum arhasi ||
O radiant sage, be pleased to see me again tomorrow at dawn. O best among ascetics, welcome—now grant me leave to depart and attend to my duties.
O Sage of great austerities! come to me tomorrow at dawn. O Excellent ascetic welcome! And allow me to leave".
Dharma is courteous orderliness: the host honours the guest with welcome and invitation, while also requesting proper permission to attend to required duties.
Janaka schedules a further meeting at dawn and asks Viśvāmitra’s consent to withdraw for evening rites.
Hospitality joined with propriety—Janaka maintains reverence without neglecting ritual responsibility.
