शबलाहरणम् — The Attempted Seizure of Sabalā (Kāmadhenu) and the Triumph of Brahmic Power

नियुङ्क्ष्व मां महाभाग त्वद्ब्रह्मबलसम्भृताम्।तस्य दर्पबलं यत्तन्नाशयामि दुरात्मन:।।।।

niyuṅkṣva māṃ mahābhāga tvad-brahmabala-sambhṛtām | tasya darpabalaṃ yat tat nāśayāmi durātmanaḥ ||

“Command me, O noble one; I am sustained by your brahma-bala. I will destroy that wicked man’s arrogant might.”

O Highly fortunate one! I am possessed of your brahminic power. Command me. I will destroy the insolent and power of that wicked-minded one.

Ś
Śabalā (Kāmadhenu)
V
Vasiṣṭha
V
Viśvāmitra (implied as the opponent)

Power should be exercised under dharmic command and for protection of righteousness; arrogance (darpa) is portrayed as a destructive, illegitimate basis of strength.

Śabalā offers her capability to Vasiṣṭha and seeks his authorization to counter Viśvāmitra’s force.

Loyal service and obedience to a righteous guide, paired with moral clarity against pride-driven aggression.
