“Command me, O noble one; I am sustained by your brahma-bala. I will destroy that wicked man’s arrogant might.”
O Highly fortunate one! I am possessed of your brahminic power. Command me. I will destroy the insolent and power of that wicked-minded one.
Power should be exercised under dharmic command and for protection of righteousness; arrogance (darpa) is portrayed as a destructive, illegitimate basis of strength.
Śabalā offers her capability to Vasiṣṭha and seeks his authorization to counter Viśvāmitra’s force.
Loyal service and obedience to a righteous guide, paired with moral clarity against pride-driven aggression.
