कुशनाभकन्याशतविवाहः — The Marriage of Kuśanābha’s Hundred Daughters (and the Birth of Brahmadatta)
तासां तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा राजा परमधार्मिक:।प्रत्युवाच महातेजा: कन्याशतमनुत्तमम्।।1.33.5।।
tāsāṁ tadvacanaṁ śrutvā rājā paramadhārmikaḥ | pratyuvāca mahātejāḥ kanyāśatam anuttamam || 1.33.5 ||
Hearing those words of his daughters, the king—supremely righteous and radiant with great splendor—replied to his hundred peerless maidens.
The deeply religious and highly powerful king, having heard those words of his one hundred exceptional daughters, replied:
A dhārmika king listens before judging; righteous governance begins with attentive hearing of those affected, especially one’s dependents.
The daughters have reported their stance and suffering; the king now responds to them formally.
