सिद्धाश्रम-यज्ञरक्षणम् — Protection of Viśvāmitra’s Sacrifice at Siddhāśrama
एवं ब्रुवाणौ काकुत्स्थौ त्वरमाणौ युयुत्सया।सर्वे ते मुनय: प्रीता: प्रशशंसुर्नृपात्मजौ।।।।
evaṃ bruvāṇau kākutsthau tvaramāṇau yuyutsayā | sarve te munayaḥ prītāḥ praśaśaṃsur nṛpātmajau ||
As the two Kakutsthas spoke thus—hastening with the desire to fight—all those sages, delighted, praised the two princely sons.
The sages (of the asrama) were very pleased. They extolled the princes of Kakustha dynasty, who were eager to fight the rakshasas.
Dharma includes prompt willingness to defend the righteous: readiness to protect sages and sacrifice is praised as a moral commitment, not mere valor.
At Siddhāśrama, after the princes express their resolve to guard the rite, the resident sages approve and praise them.
Courage joined with service—Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa’s eagerness is directed toward safeguarding a sacred duty.
