सिद्धाश्रम-प्रसङ्गः (Siddhashrama and the Vāmana Narrative)
एष पूर्वाश्रमो राम वामनस्य महात्मन:।।1.29.3।।सिद्धाश्रम इति ख्यातस्सिद्धो ह्यत्र महातपा:।
adyaiva dīkṣāṃ praviśa bhadraṃ te munipuṅgava |
siddhāśramo 'yaṃ siddhaḥ syāt satyam astu vacas tava || 1.29.29 ||
“Enter upon the dīkṣā today itself, O foremost of sages—may good be yours. May this Siddhāśrama attain full success; may your word prove true.”
"O Rama! this was the hermitage of glorious Vamana. The great sage her performed his ascetic pratices here, hence it is known as siddhashrama.
Satya and auspicious intent: speaking blessings that affirm truth and support righteous rites, aligning words with dharmic purpose.
Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa encourage Viśvāmitra to begin his dīkṣā, expressing a blessing that his intention and words succeed.
Supportive devotion and truth-respecting speech—honouring the sage’s vow and strengthening it through sincere benediction.
