Shloka 1.27.26

अस्त्रप्रदानम् — Bestowal of Divine Astras to Rama

ततः प्रीतमना रामो विश्वामित्रं महामुनिम्।अभिवाद्य महातेजा गमनायोपचक्रमे।।।।

tataḥ prītamanā rāmo viśvāmitraṃ mahāmunim |

abhivādya mahātejā gamanāyopacakrame ||

Then Rāma, his heart filled with joy, saluted the great sage Viśvāmitra; and the radiant hero made ready to depart.

Thereafter, the cheerful Rama, bowed to the mighty ascetic Viswamitra and commenced his journey.ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē bālakāṇḍē saptaviṅśassargaḥ৷৷Thus ends the twentyseventh sarga of Balakanda of the holy Ramayana the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.

After receiving the astras and their mantras, Rāma bows to Viśvāmitra and sets out to continue the mission.
