O mighty-armed prince, I also grant you the great Vaidyādhara weapon called Nandana by name, and an excellent sword-gem—a peerless blade.
O mighty-armed prince, I shall grant mahaastra, vaidyadhara and and an excellent scimitar known as nandana.
Royal power is legitimized through right transmission and purpose: weapons serve the protection of subjects and sages, aligning strength with dharma.
Viśvāmitra continues the consecrated gifting of astras, including a named great weapon and a superior sword.
Fitness for kingship: being addressed as nṛpātmaja underscores Rāma’s destined responsibility to wield force justly.
