ताटकावधः (The Slaying of Tāṭakā)

एवं ब्रुवाणे रामे तु ताटका क्रोधमूर्छिता।उद्यम्य बाहू गर्जन्ती राममेवाभ्यधावत।।1.26.13।।

Transliteration

evaṃ bruvāṇe rāme tu tāṭakā krodhamūrchitā |

udyamya bāhū garjantī rāmam evābhyadhāvata ||

Translation

As Rāma spoke thus, Tāṭakā—overwhelmed by rage—raised her arms and, roaring, rushed straight at Rāma.

While Rama was still speaking, Tataka, incensed with fury rushed with her uplifted arms towards him roaring.
