विश्वामित्रस्य यज्ञरक्षा-याचना (Visvamitra Requests Rama for Yajna-Protection)
न च मे क्रोधमुत्स्रष्टुं बुद्धिर्भवति पार्थिव।।।।तथा भूता हि सा चर्या न शापस्तत्र मुच्यते।
śakto hyeṣa mayā gupto divyena svena tejasā | rākṣasā ye vikartāras teṣām api vināśane ||
For he is capable—protected by me and by his own divine splendor—even of destroying those rākṣasas who cause such disruptions.
O King! my mind does not permit me to vent my wrath. The nature of sacrifice is such that I refrain from cursing them.
Dharma is defended through rightful force under wise guidance: power (tejas) is framed as protective and restorative, aimed at ending disruptive adharma.
Viśvāmitra reassures Daśaratha that Rāma, under his protection and by his innate divine power, can defeat the rākṣasas obstructing the rite.
Rāma’s capability and divinely grounded valor are emphasized, alongside Viśvāmitra’s role as a guardian-teacher directing that power toward dharmic ends.
