Shloka 1.18.61
पुत्रजन्मोत्सवः — Birth of the Princes and Viśvāmitra’s Arrival (Bālakāṇḍa 18)
तेषामेवंप्रभावानां सर्वेषां दीप्ततेजसाम् । पिता दशरथो हृष्टो ब्रह्मा लोकाधिपो यथा ॥
teṣāmevaṃprabhāvānāṃ sarveṣāṃ dīptatejasām | pitā daśaratho hṛṣṭo brahmā lokādhipo yathā ||
Father Daśaratha was delighted with all his sons, who possessed such power and resplendent glory, just as Brahmā, the Lord of the Worlds, rejoices (in the gods).
The simile suggests that just as Brahma is the progenitor of the powerful Lokapalas (guardians of the directions) and rejoices in their strength, Dasharatha is the progenitor of the four divine princes and derives similar joy from their radiance.
It translates to 'resplendent glory' or 'burning radiance,' indicating that the princes were not only physically strong but possessed the spiritual luster (Tejas) required to uphold Dharma and protect the world.
