पुत्रजन्मोत्सवः — Birth of the Princes and Viśvāmitra’s Arrival (Bālakāṇḍa 18)

tad adbhutam idaṃ brahman pavitraṃ paramaṃ mama | śubhakṣetragataś cāhaṃ tava sandarśanāt prabho ||

O brāhmaṇa, this is wondrous and supremely purifying for me. O lord, by merely beholding you, I feel as though I have gained the merit of visiting a sacred pilgrimage-place.

O Brahman! your arrival has caused surprise to me. It has conferred great purity on me. O Lord! by your very presence here, I feel I haved acquired the merits of a pilgrimage.

Satsaṅga (association with the righteous) is itself purifying; honoring and seeking the presence of the virtuous is a dharmic act.

Daśaratha declares that Viśvāmitra’s presence sanctifies him like a pilgrimage.

Faith and reverence—Daśaratha treats spiritual presence as transformative.
