Shloka 1.18.18

पुत्रजन्मोत्सवः — Birth of the Princes and Viśvāmitra’s Arrival (Bālakāṇḍa 18)

रथ्याश्च जनसम्बाधा नटनर्तकसङ्कुला: ।गायनैश्च विराविण्यो वादनैश्च तथाऽपरै:।।।।

utsavaś ca mahān āsīd ayodhyāyāṃ janākulaḥ ||

And in Ayodhyā a great festival arose, crowded with throngs of people.

The highways were crowded with men, thronged by actors and dancers. The voices of singers, performers on different instruments, eulogists and genealogists reverberated.
